At 11.30 on 1 July 2018, Redoine FAID (born on 10 May 1972 in Creil, France) escaped from Réau prison. He was freed from a visiting room by a group of three heavily armed men. They escaped by means of a helicopter which had previously been hijacked.
On May 20th 2010, in Creteil, a vehicle forced a police roadblock.
During the chase, the fugitives fired gunshots, injuring witnesses and police, causing an accident.
They stole another car and shot 24 impacts on the car of two municipal police officers. One of them was fatally injured.
The offenders fled by stealing two more cars.
The Police investigated. The perpetrators where about to commit the theft of CCTV Vans (for between 3 and 8 millions).
Redoine FAID played a leading role in this organization. He was sentenced for the attempted theft, the concealment of two cars and the offenses against the law on weapons and explosives as well as the offense of criminal conspiracy in view of the testimony of his associates and the video surveillance, but also the publication of a book he wrote on detention.
