The wanted individual, Beneš, as the organizer of criminal activity, ensured the availability of real estate in the Czech Republic, where, based on his instructions and with his financial support, cannabis plant nurseries were established and operated, starting from an unspecified time, at least since the beginning of 2013. He provided the accused with vehicles for transporting marijuana, cannabis seedlings, and equipment for the nurseries, coordinated individual marijuana deliveries or the transfer of small cannabis plants, including shipments of marijuana to couriers abroad. He accepted payments for the sale of marijuana and, in some cases, personally delivered marijuana to buyers. For these activities, he was sentenced to 12 years in prison. In 2023, he escaped custody in Portugal.
